Just watched a youtube review, also the app description says its open world Very tempted Torrente Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2024 96 25 18 #5 Torrente, Jun 28, 2024 at 10:07 AM Me to. Im just a bit concerned that its a shallow shooter. It kinda look a bit like that from the video? Im already drowning in games I haven’t yet played. Feel free to get it and post some opinions. psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,858 623 113 England #6 psj3809, Jun 28, 2024 at 10:10 AM Well I watched a 3 minute review and seems a fair bit to it. It’s open world for one like I said but then you have these large enemies you have to defeat. Must admit the review sold me on it one negative about emulators is that with so many games available for me to play I haven’t given much time to the original Apple iOS games ! So would I play this tons ? Maybe not. Plus I have to free up space. But I do like it when these Apple Arcade games come to the normal App Store ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,613 922 113 #7 ste86uk, Jun 28, 2024 at 11:50 AM I keep buying these old arcade games, I remember I did check this out on arcade and did like it but then never got around to finishing it as it didn’t suck me in enough. Or sometimes it’s just bad timing as something you want to play even more comes out at the same time and then you forget to go back because there’s so much choice! Tempted to get it and add it to the backlog but it’s pretty damn big at the moment. Some puzzle type of shooting, watch one of those review videos they're pretty good. I often use those to judge whether to get a game or not specially the quick 3 minute review ones. I'm tempted, its more the freeing up 3.1 gig ! I've got the 500 gig phone (As i'm an app hoarder) but what with comic book files (.cbr files) and tons of games for the emulators i'm low on space ! As much as I appreciate the innovations, I find that I need to be in the right mood to really enjoy games like this. It’s a bit like Stardew Valley in that it pushes a philosophy that is contrary to the temptation the gameplay puts forth, to be goal-oriented. Consequently, I think if you look at it as a gameplay arc, its flaws are more pronounced, in particular the arbitrary mechanic of shooting targets as a means of increasing your movement speed. If it just had standard Zelda-ish controls it would be a better game, so why did the devs bother? That said, I’d say 80% of what the game throws at you is easy even if you aren’t good at the game. It’s definitely a world to get immersed in, even with a few really frustrating moments in gameplay. Anotherkellydown likes this.
